"Know Thy Neighbor" (KTN) is a series of seminars on internal research at EPFL's School of Computer & Communication Sciences. Its goal is to foster greater collaboration and mutual awareness among the labs and groups in our school, to promote a better understanding of our respective areas, the problems we are trying to tackle, and ways in which the techniques and advances in one area can benefit the challenges of the others.

The seminar debuted in the Spring 2010 semester. The last session of the semester included pizza, beer, and a multiple-choice quiz [download]. Those who answered the questions correctly received gift certificates for dinner at the "Au Chat Noir" restaurant in Lausanne. We then gathered for a group photo, seen on the right.

If you are interested in giving a talk, please contact George Candea and/or Rüdiger Urbanke.
